MomCare: Where We Work
MomCare is now active in Kenya, Nigeria, and Tanzania, including Zanzibar. The program has already enrolled nearly 102,000 women across these countries.

Nigeria - Lagos
MomCare Lagos partners with the Lagos State Health Management Agency (LASHMA), MDoc and Ingress Health Partners to make quality maternity more transparent and reliable. Together, we finance and deliver high-quality care for an initial 5,000 mothers, with the aim of setting an example for insurance schemes in Nigeria.
Kenya - Nairobi
Nairobi is our innovation hub for a next-generation hybrid care model that blends in-person clinic care with digital and AI support. Through a private-sector clinic panel, we are piloting the Shared Health Record, AI tools, mental-health support and a strengthened Maternity Rating, enabling proven approaches to be adopted at scale.
Kenya - Kisumu
In Kisumu, we work with the county’s Safe Mama Tech programme to bring MomCare principles into local primary-care networks. The county-led model uses open data exchange, local funding and BabyChecker ultrasound to improve quality close to women’s homes and to scale sustainable, county-owned maternal services.
Tanzania - Zanzibar
MomCare in Zanzibar is a government-led rollout co-financed through the Health Equity Fund to strengthen maternal journeys across the islands.
We work with the Zanzibar Health Services Fund to give vulnerable women in two districts financial access to high-quality care.
Tanzania - Mainland
In Manyara, MomCare has supported more than 40,000 women and established digital processes for paying for and delivering high-quality care.
In our district-wide implementation in Hanang, we demonstrated how collaboration between facilities can be achieved through data exchange.
