…with a vision to increase access to affordable and better healthcare for all Ghanaians. The Ghana office leverages the power of mobile and digital innovations to mobilize public and private resources for the benefit of healthcare providers and patients through a combination of in-country initiatives focused on quality improvement, healthcare financing, supply chain strengthening, technical assistance, impact research and advocacy deployed by a passionate and multidisciplinary team.
PharmAccess’s strategy in Ghana is in line with the agenda of the government for economic self-sufficiency through private sector-led technology-driven development. We aim to address emerging critical challenges in Ghana’s health system and strengthening key state institutions to be efficient and effective at delivering on their mandate to support the realization of Ghana’s UHC 2030 agenda.
Our activities are developed through strong public-private partnerships and include:
Supply Chain Strengthening with Med4All
PharmAccess and the Christian Health Association of Ghana (CHAG), in collaboration with the FDA have developed a digital supply chain platform aimed to improve the quality, access, and affordability of medicines. The platform connects medicine suppliers and healthcare facilities to create a more efficient and transparent supply chain. Med4All aims to facilitate a secure supply of quality essential medicines at competitive prices by creating smart supply chain solutions, implementing quality control mechanisms, and offering access to affordable finance.
Analyzing healthcare data with NHIA
PharmAccess and the Ghana National Health Insurance Authority (NHIA) have partnered to develop data analytics to support the provision of care for 11 million people in Ghana.
