PharmAccess is a group of non-profit organizations dedicated to improving access to quality healthcare in Africa. PharmAccess mobilizes public and private resources for the benefit of doctors and patients through clinical standards and quality improvements, loans for healthcare providers, health insurance, mHealth innovations and operational research.

Dutch current affairs magazine Vrij Nederland has published a lengthy article by Joep Lange's son Max. After the tragic death of his father in 2014, Max started a personal journey to better understand the impact Joep Lange had in this world.
It is a beautiful search in which Max finds many answers about his father, the AIDS professor Joep Lange, his colleagues, his sisters, himself and the African continent. About the latter he writes, ‘I’m much more optimistic about Africa now.’ In the article, Max intertwines personal stories from his childhood and dealing with the loss of Joep and Jacqueline with the work he is doing now. This includes working with the Joep Lange Institute on a documentary on the impact of the mobile revolution in Kenya.
