Thanks to its lottery members, the Postcode Loterij will disburse E900.000 every year to PharmAccess, until 2026. The funding allows the organization to develop digital innovations for patients to access care and for health providers to improve the quality of services. The contribution will also help attract new partnerships and investments, as it enables PharmAccess to develop, scale and demonstrate the impact of its initiatives.
Jonne Arnoldussen, Head of Charities at the Nationale Postcode Loterij: ‘’We are very happy that we can continue our partnership with Pharmaccess enabling them with our support to innovate and improve health care systems in sub-Saharan Africa. Making quality healthcare available for everybody, also people with low income, aligns with our mission of a better world.”
Next to the yearly allowance, the Natonale Postcode Loterij also supports i-PUSH, a project developed together with Amref Health Africa. The program, funded through the Dream Fund, connects 65,000 low-income women and their families to healthcare financing, quality care and lifestyle support, directly through their mobile phone.
‘’We are very grateful for the trust and support of the lottery and its members’’ said Nicole Spieker, CEO of PharmAccess. ‘’This cooperation is invaluable for our work to strengthen health systems in Africa and make it accessible for everyone – a goal that is more relevant than ever.’’
