PharmAccess at Africa Health Agenda International Conference 2017

PharmAccess will join the discussion on the role of innovations & technology in improving health services in Africa.

The conference, taking place between 7th and 9th of March in Nairobi,  will facilitate continuing exchange of scientific knowledge and research findings, and stimulate debate on strategies, ideas and innovations and the application of knowledge to inform health care financing, human resources for health and community systems strengthening policy and practice for the SDGs health agenda.

On the 9th of March betwen 9:00 and 10:30, Nicole Spieker, Director of Quality at PharmAccess, will join keynote speaker Bob Collymore, CEO Safaricom and panelist Roelof Assies, General Manager, Philips for a discussion on the role of innovations & technology in improving health services in Africa.

During the conference, PharmAccess will also host two side events. The first, taking place on Wednesday 8th of March between 7:00 and 8:30, will discuss the innovative models for access to affordable healthcare. Sharing how paradigm shifts are required for stimulating access to affordable and quality healthcare and the lessons learned from public-private partnerships. The second session, in collaboration with Amref, will showcase the M-Pesa Foundation maternity initative in Samburu as a innovation casestudy for improving health outcomes for mothers and neonates in hard to reach areas.
