PharmAccess co-organizes conference ‘Scaling up Health Insurance and Financial Protection in Health'
The conference is organized by the Health Insurance Fund, PharmAccess, World Bank, IFC, USAID, WHO and ILO.

The objectives of the day are to take stock of recent debates on matters regarding introducing and expanding health insurance for low income groups in Africa and the lessons learned that can guide the international development community and technical assistance agencies in better supporting their client countries to improve access to essential health services. In addition, the first copy of the book Scaling up Affordable Health Insurancewill be presented. The book is edited by Onno Schellekens, Alex Preker, Marianne Lindner and Dov Chernichosky and is a volume in a World Bank series on health insurance. It is the successor to the most read World Bank book in 2012: Global Marketplace for Private Health Insurance: Strength in Numbers.
