Progress Report 2020 – driving long-term health system change in a year like no other
Our Progress Report 2020 is now available. In this Report we set out how a quality, low-cost sustainable health care sector can look like.
PharmAccess is a group of non-profit organizations dedicated to improving access to quality healthcare in Africa. PharmAccess mobilizes public and private resources for the benefit of doctors and patients through clinical standards and quality improvements, loans for healthcare providers, health insurance, mHealth innovations and operational research.

2020 has been a year like no other in testing our resolve to make inclusive health markets work.
Depleting resources have added even more pressure to health systems in Sub Saharan Africa. Two million people worldwide have lost their lives, and many more their livelihoods as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic.
But this crisis has also opened our eyes on innovative, technology driven ways in which we can reach the goals of good health and prosperity.
In this Progress Report we set out how a quality, low-cost sustainable health care sector can look like. We do this by sharing examples of the work we did together with our partners in 2020, including our COVID-19 response activities.
