This film was made in Tanzania for the Amsterdam Dinner in collaboration with 'De Grote Onderneming' (DGO), The Aids Fonds and the Health Insurance Fund.
The film features scenes of the healthcare situation in Tanzania. Doctor Kaushik Ramaya, Aids specialist in Tanzania, comments on the health problems in his country and specifically those related to HIV/AIDS. Furthermore the film tells the story of Abu, a student whose life was affected dramatically by AIDS. ‘De Grote Onderneming’ and The Health Insurance Fund help Dr. Kaushik, Abu and others in similar situations by increasing access to health services and improving health care.
