Bios of expert speakers:
Dr Femi Ogunremi, CEO Monitor Healthcare Ltd
MBBS (Ilorin), DTM (Ireland), DFRSH (UK), DPH (UK), MedEd (UK), Postgraduate Certificate in Executive Leadership for Healthcare Professional (Cornell), FHEA (UK), FIIM (Africa), FRSPH (UK).
Dr. Ogunremi’s background is Emergency Medicine, General Practice and Tropical Medicines. He is a Medical Educator and a keen teacher. He teaches at various capacities and doubled as a Medical Director and Medical Appraiser in the UK.
He also worked as a Responsible Officer for GMC and NHS England. He created standards for organizations under NHS England to maintain the quality of practice for doctors working in its subsidiaries. He evaluated and recommended doctors for continued licensing and safe practice in accordance with the GMC standard. He is a Fellow and Member of various professional and academic bodies including the Higher Education Academy in the UK. He works with other academics in UK universities to write curriculum.
Dr. Ogunremi is the Chairman Editorial Board MIMS Nigeria and a consultant to the Pharmaceutical Society of Nigeria (PSN) on Medicines Information and organizer of the National MI training in Nigeria. He is a Member, Board of Trustees for Safe Medicines Foundation (SMF) in Nigeria. He has won multiple local and international awards both in Africa and Europe.
Dr. Ibironke Dada BDS, MPH, MBA, Director of Quality, PharmAccess Foundation
Ibironke Dada is a public health and management specialist with several years’ work experience in health system strengthening, quality management, monitoring and evaluation (M&E) and private sector engagement. Dr. Dada holds a Master of Business Administration degree from Imperial College, London, United Kingdom, Masters in Public Health and a Bachelor in Dental Surgery from the College of Medicine, University of Lagos, Nigeria. She has worked in various capacities with international development organizations leading health reforms from policy formulation to the design and implementation of innovative demand and supply-side interventions for equitable access to quality healthcare services.
She is currently the Director of Quality, PharmAccess Foundation overseeing quality improvement initiatives in several states in Nigeria. PharmAccess Foundation in collaboration with the Joint Commission International (JCI) and Council of Health Service Accreditation Southern Africa (COHSASA) developed SafeCare healthcare standards for resource-restricted settings, accredited by the International Society for Quality in Health Care (ISQua) since 2011. She is also a Faculty Member and Lead Facilitator on Healthcare Quality, Health Management Program, Enterprise Development Centre, Pan-Atlantic University, Nigeria.
